Endless Nightmare ~ Character Descriptions

Slowly but surely I'm going to be adding character descriptions for all the players in Endless Nightmare.  Some information can't quite be told yet, because some secrets will be worth the wait.

Love Is In The Air: Flash Fiction Blog Hop and Giveaway

For this flash fiction there were only two of my characters that came to mind right away when it came to love and Valentine's Day; Lenox and Mercy. These two won't have their whole story told until sometime later in the Dark Dream series but you will get to know through all of the books. A little preview to one of my favorite couples.

“We keep circling and always end up back in the same place.”

Brushing her thumb over Mercy’s bottom lip, Lenox shook her head in denial. “Don’t you get it, Merc?  It’s you and me against the world.  It always has been, it always will be.  No matter how much time passes.  No matter how many obstacles get in our way or what our families think, it will always be you and me.” She knew Mercy was about to argue with her, it was the second thing that they were best at.  Of course those arguments always ended up in the most ferocious love making, but today of all days she didn’t want to fight. So before Mercy was able to get a word out, she leaned forward and place her lips against hers.  There was no better way to silence her female and they both knew it.

She felt the instant that Mercy had given in.  Her lips parted on a sigh and she leaned up to meet her kiss with a little more force.  That was her mercenary, all hard exterior and toughness, but when you got down to the bare bones of it, Mercy was all softness and grace.  It was that contradiction that had first drawn Lenox to her all those centuries ago.

What you think you're going to write, is never what you actually write...

Endless Nightmare is the first book I'm writing in the Dark Dream Series and also the one that I never planned on writing.  The series was supposed to start with Dare To Dream where Empusa was to make a cameo  with her main story coming next (which she will still be getting).  Turns out that my favorite demon had other things in mind.  Let me tell you, she normally does.  This book isn't your typical story, as it isn't a romance (the rest of the series is).  When the idea came to me, and the people who have always supported my writing and characters wanted to read more about Empusa, I knew that the story wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but I knew that it needed to be written.  I went back and forth with that fact.  I know most reader want to read a story with a beginning, middle and end. With romance and love. They won't get that with Endless Nightmare.  This is the story about how Empusa became the way she is, starting from when she was twelve years old and finds herself being thrown into a realm she isn't supposed to survive in.  It's the story of her survival and one that I feel needs to be told to understand her better.  Sometimes, as a writer, you need to stay true to your characters and accept the fact that you will never please everyone.  With this story though, you will get to meet and understand other characters that will be present throughout the series.  If you like sex, violence, complicated relationships, and a strong female lead that doesn't take shit from anyone, well this book just might be in your wheelhouse.

A little something about me...
Blogging is a new thing for me.  I do the twitter thing, when I remember to.  Have my instagram account, mostly to browse through more than post.  Then of course my Facebook page, which I tend to remember more than the others.  So why not throw one more thing into the mix while I'm at it.  So bare with me while I blindly work my way through this, and hope to remember to actually post.
